As an Israeli-Jew and a former soldier in the IDF, this week was the hardest and longest week in my life. i've already been to 3 funerals, and skipped mabye 20 because i cant take it anymore, i cant more mothers cry, more speeches of how good and innocent those kids were. another major image that needs explaining is the unheard Arab voices within the community, they beg for years to their leaders to stop the war, they dont want to live under a palestinian regime, they have good jobs, steady lives for their families and kids. in the west bank muslims kill other muslims for the dumbest reason, the muslims in Israel beg for the Israeli police to interfere, but as soon as we interfere we're greeted with AK bullets and other handmade explosives. my point is, the end of the palestinian radical regime and the destruction of HAMAS-ISIS is the best thing for both israelis and muslim-arabs that live in Israel. also we really appreciate your support we do need that

Please make more of these videos! I learn, or rather relearn, so much from them. I majored in political science 20 years ago, and I pride myself on the fact that I made it through college while retaining my conservative beliefs, but now I’m finding out that much of what I learned back then was subjective (and false) but was taught as fact. It’s truly terrifying. So please make as many of these educational videos as possible because I watch them with a voracious hunger for the truth.

I’m an Israeli Jew, currently going through these horrors. My friends, teenagers like me are on the frontlines fighting. I was a medic in the IDF and finished my service just two months ago after serving for two years, and I’m currently waiting to see if I’ll be re-recruited in to assist. My nation has been slaughtered. Held hostage. Raped. Families torn apart. Friends who lost friends. Kids who will forever stay kids. Elderly who never got to leave this world peacefully. Mothers who don’t know where their children are. 40 babies beheaded and burned. 120+ hostage in Gaza. 1300+ murdered. 3000+ Rockets soaring through the skies. These have been the worst days of our lives and it’s not over yet. I am heartbroken and shaken to my core, as are many. Thank you for this, for the awareness, for the support. The world is finally beginning to see what we’ve been saying for years. May Hashem be with us, and this war end💔

As a British Citizen, an Englishman by ethnicity and lifelong residence, I stand 100% with Israel in the face of literally devilish atrocities. Thank you, Ben, for making these things clear. Arab-Israeli conflict has been a constant of my life, from the Six-Day War around my 5th birthday to now. In my observation it has always been Arabs who initiate the conflict. I have been frustrated at heavy-handed responses from Israel, but then I am not living surrounded by countries who want nothing more than to see my country erased and my people exterminated. Under that kind of pressure, I don’t know that I would not want to be even more heavy-handed.

In the light of seeing but not understanding what was going on, I did a very left-wing thing and “educated myself” on the history of the modern Israeli state and the movements that led to its founding, and the salient events of its history as a state. However, in the light of that education, it is not possible to hold a left-wing view of the ongoing conflict, its sources and its protagonists. The official left-wing line is a tissue of outright lies and half-truths so overstretched that they are unrecognisable from the facts were manipulated to generate them.

This video gives a much-needed corrective to the left-wing narrative that is so often taken as normative for the history of the situation.

I had half a foot in the jew prejudice/stereotypes.  I visited a synagogue a few times.  It was gone.  I was welcomed and someone even took me under their wing to help follow along.  It felt like they just took me into their community and that I belonged there without them even knowing me.  I started to research the hate.  Any negative thoughts were all gone.  Knowledge is power.

I honestly don’t see how people who’ve actually learned about Israel’s history can think that Israel is evil or “had it coming”. 

It’s like those movies where the protagonist spares the villain. Only for the villain to backstab them.

Israel has offered the Palenstinians their own state on FIVE different occasions:

1.  After the breakup of the Ottoman empire at the end of WW1, Britain took control of most of the middle east, including the area that constitutes modern Israel. 17 years later the Arabs rebelled against the British and against their Jewish neighbor. The British decided there needed to be a two-state solution. The Arabs would be given 80% of the disputed land and the Jews the remaining 20%. Despite their tiny portion the Jews voted to accept the offer but the Arabs rejected it and resumed their violent rebellion.

2. Ten years later in 1936, the British asked the UN to find the solution. Once again a two-state solution was proposed and the Jews accepted the offer but again the Arabs rejected it but this time by launching an all out war.

3. After the Six Day War in 1967, Egypt, Syria and Jordan tried to destroy the state of Israel. The Arab league met and issued their infamous "three No's"

1. No peace with Israel

2. No recognition of Israel

3. No negotiations with Israel

4. In 2000, Israeli President Ehud Barak met with Yasser Arafat at Camp David to conclude a new two-state plan. The Israeli President offered Yasser Arafat a Palenstinian state, ALL of Gaza and 94% of the west bank with East Jerusalem as it's capital. But Yasser Arafat said No to the offer.

In the words of US President Bill Clinton, "Yasser Arafat was here for 14 days and said No to everything". Instead the Palenstinians launched a wave of suicide bombers that murdered over 1000 Israeli's and mamed over 1000 more, in buses, in wedding halls and pizza parlors.

5. In 2008 Israeli President Ehud Olmert offered even more than the previous offer.

A Palestinian state

All of Gaza

94% of the west bank

East Jerusalem as it's capital

And additional land to sweeten the deal

But like his predecessor Mahmoud Abbas turned the deal down

In 2005, Israel left Gaza entirely and left it to the Palestinians to govern but instead of developing the land the Palestinians turned Gaza into a terrorist base so they could launch attacks at Israel.

Each time Israel as agreed to Palestinian State the Palestinians have rejected the offer, often violently. So if your interested in peace in the middle east, maybe the answer is not to pressure Israel to make yet another offer of a state to the Palestinians, maybe the answer is to pressure the Palestinians to accept the existence of a Jewish state.

I disagree with Ben on a lot of things, always hear him out as I try and get both sides of issues on US politics. 

I’m so glad he’s speaking out and calling out the extreme vitriol/misinformation/hate. He’s one of only a few people that both express the sorrow/anxiety I, and many of my family have felt all week and the facts of the situation.

I took a course on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict back in 2008 at a very liberal university with a very liberal professor. None of this was debated. The things Ben says here were simply taken for granted as historical facts. How quickly and conveniently the facts change for some people...

Been, I love when you do these. It enables me to have a platform to discuss things with my friends who have been very misleading. You cannot argue with facts. Well, you can argue with them if you’re disillusioned propaganda is alive and well and a lot of people are just sheep. I pray for Israel strength and it’s piece. I’m a Christian Mexican living in Mexico. I don’t think my people are very well informed on this because I’ve had conversations with quite a few people and none of them knew anything about it, to be honest. They didn’t know about 1948 when Israel became a nation once again or the 6-Day War. It’s mainly because Mexico usually stays neutral on foreign issues, but I have been sharing this knowledge every chance I get and all of us who are Christian KNOW that Israel is “the apple of God’s eye”, and we stand with you 1,000%! We are praying for Israel every day and we KNOW that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper”. Amen!!!!!!!

Sitting with a totally detached perspective regarding the Middle East conflict, I feel nothing but despair. So many conflicts exist across the world, and any of those who feel they’ve arrived at a resolution that is mutually beneficial are naive. Evil people exist on all sides, hiding behind a religious position which they feel vindicates them regarding the hate they perpetuate. I detest those who emigrate to otherwise peaceful first world countries and demand either that the country that now hosts them get involved in the hatred, or surreptitiously and duplicitously breed their agenda until actions like flying jets into buildings occurs. Sadly, there is no answer here, and as an absolute, hate breeds hate. Religion is the opiate of the people.

Ben, you forgot to mention that Mark Twain, the author, visited that region in 1856 and wrote that not a single person lived there. He called it barren and desolate. There was never an Arab city in that region and Mark Twain most certainly didnt see any signs of one. Mark Twain is indisputable. The Jews rebuilt Israel several decades later and the Arab economic migrants from all over the Middle East began flowing in looking for jobs AFTER Israel was rebuilt.
