Vibration.
Lloyd Meeker
I am holding a belief that a significant number of veterans of the edl experience are forming/have formed a "something", a collective consciousness based on a shared vibration. This isn't exclusive to those with edl campaign ribbons on their tunics, but I am currently believing the vibration that provides the unifying power for this "something" is a vibration that we welcomed first in edl, and that we have allowed to evolve us into people we weren't twenty years ago, let alone forty.
I hasten to make explicit that this is about vibration, not theology. It's not about the ideas and metaphors we learned, the "great work" of the organization or the world view that arose out of our experiences. It's about who we are -- first as individuals responsible for carrying a vibration, second as some matrix of consciousness that seems more alive to me now than when it wore edl clothing.
To me edl really was a door. That is, a humanly-formed structure. As divinely inspired as it was, it manifested as a man-made "thing", powered by a glorious vibration. Fueled with divine fire as it was, it was fashioned by human hands -- an essential early step, no doubt.
What I see in my current belief is this matrix of consciousness. A stone cut without hands: each of us, blinking in and out of the matrix according to the vibration of our momentary consciousness.
This collective consciousness is not "responsible for" anything, can't be humanly organized or directed, is not inclined to accept a definition of "doing", but is content to BE whatever it is, however large or small. Its only organizing and animating force is the vibration itself.
My belief rejects the impulse to build three tabernacles to commemorate this vision of a vibrational matrix. Instead, my belief tells me that the design (and implied purpose) is contained in the vibration we already know. For me, it is enough to experience the vibration I revere, and to be aware of the presence of that vibration in others -- others I recognize through the manifestation of the vibration itself. No other membership needed.
A couple of days ago I shared in the radiant surround for a surgery, which took several hours. I have no idea how many people were consciously on board -- I knew of only half a dozen incarnate ones. I can't count the dis-incarnate ones, but there were a bunch -- many, many more than the few I know by name and recognize when we connect.
I mention this, because I experienced a kind of bliss during this event that was reminiscent of the highest and finest I ever experienced in sacred gatherings in edl, yet was so, so much more. But I recognized the vibrational signature, so to speak, at the core of the event. It was the flower of a seed vibration I learned long ago to hold in my hands and heart.
So this morning I happily call out to my matrix-mates: I see you, and celebrate you. I am grateful for you, and the nourishment I experience when I open myself to the vibration we share. I don't care what we look like, I don't care what we do, or don't do. I don't care if we never again embrace in person. Well, maybe I care about that a little! What we share holds us together, shapes us, and will give each of us our next steps. I love and trust that vibration, and because I do, I love and trust you.
Blessings upon you!
