Thursday, 27th December 2018
Transfer to José Marti airport to meet the Brigadistas arriving on the day.
Transfer of all Brigadistas to CIJAM (Campamento Internacional Julio Antonio Mella).
Settling in, dinner then a free night.

09:30 Brigade Welcome. Laying of flowers at the monument to Julio Antonio Mella.
Visit to the History of the Brigade Room. Explanation of the programme, rules of
CIJAM & introduction to the workers.
Planting of a Tree of Friendship in the Bosque Martiano.
11:30 Lunch
13:00 Departure to Artemisa
14:00 Visit to the Memorial for the Martyrs of Artemisa (Memorial a los Mártires de Artemisa).
15:00 Meeting with the members of the party & government of Artemisa.
Explanation of the successful economic & social welfare programme in this province.
20:00 Dinner then the Cuban Night at CIJAM.

Please note there may be some minor variations to the programme due to weather or unforeseen
circumstances but where possible the programme will be as above.
The following changes have yet to be scheduled in:-
i) ICAP is scheduling in the usual run (jog/walk for those less able) from CIJAM to the nearby village of
Guayabal.
ii) Cienfuegos may be visited on route to or from Ciego de Avila as it celebrates its 200th anniversary in
2019
