Professor Joseph H. Chung interviews

Mr. Suhae Kim, currently living in Canada, a twenty-five-time visitor to the DPRK, who gives his impressions on a variety of aspects of life in the DPRK. 

Respondent Mr. Keith Bennett of the UK has travelled regularly to the DPRK since 1983, was twice awarded the Friendship Order of the DPRK by Kim Il Sung and currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Kim Il Sung Kim Jong Il Foundation.

Biography

I got my BA in social sciences and MA in economics from Laval University in Quebec city, Canada and Ph.D. (economics) from University of Toronto.

 I have been teaching at universities in Korea and Canada. My research areas include regional and urban economics and real estate economics.

 Now, for last ten years,my research interests have been Korea affairs focusing on the peace process in the Korean peninsula.

Now, I am Professeur (associé) of economics at the Québec University in Montreal (UQAM) and co-director of Observatoire de l'Asie de l'Est (OAE) of the Centre d'Études sur l'Intégration et Mondialisation (CEIM), UQAM
