남북정상회담으로 평화 분위기가 고조되며, 북한의 식량난을 해결하기 위한 채소 종자 지원에도 이목이 쏠리고 있다.//

특히 지난 2011년부터 재단법인 국제농업개발원을 통해 다양한 채소 종자를 북한에 지원해 온 농업회사법인 아시아종묘(대표이사 류경오)의 행보가 주목을 받고 있다.//


지난해 아시아종묘는 5.6톤가량의 채소 종자를 지원하였으며, 북한 외에 태풍 피해를 입었던 필리핀 레이테주에도 채소 종자를 지원한 바 있다.//

아시아종묘가 올해 지원하는 총 종자량은 무와 양배추, 쌈‧채소 등 22개 작물 총 100여 가지 품종으로 총 약 10톤에 달한다. 이번에 지원한 종자는 중국 대련 광윤농업발전 유한공사를 통해 북한 함경북도에 7톤, 평양시에 3톤이 공급될 예정이다. 아시아종묘가 지금까지 북한에 지원한 채소 종자는 총 약 32톤이다. 종자 지원 선적기념식은 지난 9월 29일 경기도 용인시 기흥구 한국민속식물원(원장 이병화)에서 열렸다.//

아시아종묘 류경오 대표이사는 “같은 민족으로서 북한 농가에 도움을 주고 싶다”고 밝히며 “향후 남북한이 함께 동남아 등 인근 국가에 프리미엄 채소를 생산, 공급하여 채소 한류를 이끌고 싶다”고 밝혔다.//

The peace talks will be heightened by the summit between the two Koreas and attention is being paid to the support of the vegetable seeds to solve the food shortage in North Korea. 

 In particular, the agricultural corporation that has been supporting various kinds of vegetables to North Korea through the International Agricultural Development Foundation.  Last year, Asian Seedlings supported about 5.6 tonnes of vegetable seeds last year, and seeds were also supplied outside North Korea, to the state of Leitje in the Philippines, which suffered from typhoons. / The total seed amount supported by Asian Seedling this year is about 10 tons of total 22 varieties including radish, cabbage, 

The seeds will be supplied to North Hamgyong province by 7 tons and Pyongyang city by 3 tons through Dalian Guangyuan Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. in China. A total of about 32 tons of vegetable seeds were sent to North Korea by the Asian Seedling. The ceremony was held at the Korean Folk Botanical Garden in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, on September 29. 

 "We want to help North Korean farmers as they are the same people," said Ryu Kyung- I would like to produce and supply of premium vegetables to neighboring countries such as Southeast Asia and lead the Korean Wave of vegetables. "
