Dr. Allen's view on Japan's war time activities reflects the one of Japanese far rights, such as denial of forced labor and war time sex slaves, along with euphemism of Japan's colonization of Korean peninsula. Be advised that such denialism/euphemism is direct opposite of other mainstream historians and scholars with years of research and scholarship in US, Japan, South Korea, and elsewhere.

Most texts are organized by Japanese sterotype view. I was so disgusted that the writer described Korean sex slave was volunteered because of
their father’s debts. it’s not real just fake. Korea was ruled by Japanese terrible invaders. Korea had the war situation then. Japanese stole all the things of Korea( Foods, natural resource, people). They even had a cural medical experiments on living body during the world war 2 with Korean and Chinese.

Japan must apologize to Korea for atrocities!
What’s true counts and what’s not true must count.
During the colonial period, hundreds of thousands of Korean women were forced to put there in army for Japanese soldiers' satisfaction of desire. It was a terrible time for South Korea. Still Korean women and the government have a memorial service for victims related to this history. And Japan never apologize about this.
It's Not true korean women went there by their own for money. I'm so frustrated with this book and so furious about fake story that stands for only Japan.
Shame on Mr. the writer
