5.0 out of 5 stars The result of a life of dedication to scholarshipReviewed in the United States on December 15, 2010
Despite countless obstacles and opposition which may never come to light, Steve Heder has done far more than anyone to cram a huge mass of evidence down the throat of the ongoing Khmer Rouge tribunal. Without his drive and persistence, the upcoming trial of Nuon Chea, Khieu Samphan, Ieng Sary, and Ieng Thirith would have little chance of success.
While it seems the Vietnamese themselves are intent on making no contribution whatsoever to the tribunal's weighing of the evidence of the very crimes which the Vietnamese used as justification for their invasion of Cambodia, this book is essential for the relatively few who are paying any attention at all.
