NEW: UK Lawyers For Israel Attempts To BAN Mention Of Palestine
@karmighada connects efforts by UK Lawyers For Israel (UKLFI) to remove reference to Palestine in Open University textbooks and the British Museum to broader erasure of Palestinian history.
UKLFI, established in 2011, describes its mission as countering the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement and what it calls the “delegitimisation of Israel”.
Since the recording of this video it appears that the Open University has reversed its decision to ban reference to ‘Ancient Palestine’ in teaching and learning materials.
Earlier this month, 200 artists and cultural workers signed an open letter to the British Museum to ’Stop Erasing Palestine’ and drop oil company BP, accused of profiting from Israel’s genocide of Palestinians.
