The 15th Kyujanggak Korean Studies Summer Workshop 2021
This summer the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies will host its 15th summer workshop for Korean studies. The workshop aims to give graduate students majoring in Korean studies or Korea-related subjects an opportunity to further their understanding of research trends in various fields of Korean studies. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, it will be from June 28 to July 23, 2021 via ZOOM.
Lectures will cover research methods, trends, and approaches in approximately twenty-four different fields, i.e. history, history of science, mass media, classical literature, modern literature and language, gender history, philosophy and religion, education, art, North Korea, etc. SNU faculty members and prominent scholars from the global community will be the lecturers. Each lecture will last for 90 minutes and then be followed by an opportunity for discussion.Lectures and discussions will be conducted in either Korean or English. Students who attend more than 20 lectures will receive a certificate.
Those who have participated in the Kyujanggak summer and/or hanmun workshop in the past three years are also eligible to apply.
